In their attempt to capture an otherworldly criminal, they manage to misplace their precious Book of Curses, leave a gaping hole in the multiverse, unleash fatal amounts of black energy into the living world, and kill one of two brothers walking home after a concert. Three months later, everyone affected by their shenanigans is still adjusting to life—and death. How distinct the two really are is debatable.
